Not an Egg!

No, it’s not an egg.
It’s a weird egg lookalike Tamagoya dessert I bought from the depachika in Shinjuku Takashimaya. It’s Sweet!! Feels really strange. But good. ^^

Michiko’s back from San Jose for a month.
She brought back some omiyage for us.

Huh? Well, um, thanks. ^^p
Anyway, good to have her back, even for just a short one month before she has to go back to the US again.
First day in Shinjuku!

Exit the station, and…
Look at that crowd! Compare that to the quiet old-Japanese-books-town of Jimbocho. What a difference…
So many people! And such a lively atmosphere! Maybe someday I’ll get used to it or even get sick of it, but for now it’s still quite exciting! There’s everything here!

Went to the Chiyoda-ku Badminton Tournament today. A few hundred people attended.
I’m a member of the Kanda Club, which is the largest and strongest club in Chiyoda City. People get nervous just from hearing our name! Yeah! Don’t mess with us!!!
Hehe ^^p
Today was a team event. Max of 6 people each. Kanda Club had at least 6 teams participating on different levels. I’m with Team B. Team A, the strongest team of Kanda Club won the tournament on the highest level. My Team got 3rd place for our level. Not too bad, but not great either.
…
Unfortunately I won’t be able to train with them much anymore because my office is going to move pretty far away to Shinjuku, so I guess I’ll have to find another place to practice soon.

We went to Chopstick Cafe in Shibuya for the meet-up. Their most popular dish is “Shrimp and Avocado Dragon Ball” which is some sort of shrimp and avocado and ikura sushi. It was good and we had a lot of that. But we also had some good ole fried chicken wings! Kinda unusual because people here don’t usually like to deal with all that bones and stuff. Anyway, it was good…

The Team from the first venture company I joined. Great People! ^^
venture:
- An undertaking that is dangerous, daring, or of uncertain outcome
(dictionary.com)
Well, we all came out stronger in the end…
And I’m proud of that. ^^

The office is going to move, and today is our last day at Jimbocho.
A little sad. Quite a lot of memories here.
Yeah, all those great restaurants. ^^
The photo shows what I see right after exiting the station every morning. Two and a half years. *sigh* I’m going to miss this place.
Yet at the same time I’m really looking forward to the hustle and bustle of Shinjuku where we’re going to move to! Change is good. ^^
